One of my oldest dreams was to have a robust web site for energy issues. This site will be owned by all people who do not have sites and speaks on behalf of all people, students and researchers. Today, this dream becomes reality. Therefore, I wish all people to visit this site, pave it with roses, so others can come and smell it and take some of it. Others will have a look from terraces of this site to the new technology as if they are beacons on the river sides. Before I call everybody to visit this site, I should thank Eng. Amer Shbool for his effors to make this nice site. Prof. Mohammad Alzoubi

The price of electricity could go down.....Is it possible
According to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) the electricty prices could go down during the comming period. This is a new and promising step for the kingdom.
In a universal strategy to support and develop energy sector, a meeting was held today to study and review purchase agreements concerning renewable and conventional energy generated from gas and oil. This meeting is held with all partners in this sector. The study is prepared by ILF-Catalia-GID-Nabulsi&Associates. The review of agreements includes economical, technical, legal and commecrical aspects.
The Cost of Electricity Bill
The review aims to reduce the cost paid by the government during electricity purchase from renewable energy companies. The main goal of the government is to reach equality between all companies in this sector and NEPCO.

One of the biggest dreams for the Jordanian citizen is to get rid of his electicity bill for ever. Since this dream is difficult to achieve now, we in MES have studied all choices to enable him reducing his electricity bill using the available and cheap solutions. In these studies we have avoided the connection with grid and we have taken the economical and technical factors in concideration. To get an answer for each case we need the following set of information:
1-The tariff (JD/kwh)
2-Average monthly consumption
3- single or three phase system
4-Most of consumption at night or during the day hours
Example: if the tariff is 0.1JD/kwh for residential customer and the monthly 24 hours consumption is 800kwh, the pay back period is 4 years and his monthly saving is 4OJD

Load demand in residential houses is a significant contributor to peak load problems experienced by utilities. The knowledge about demand variation in households is fairly limited as well as the use of various tools to analyze the demand. Many utilities have recently installed interval (hourly) metering at their residential customers. The availability of hourly data is a significant progress, however, the utilities use this data only to a limited extent, mostly for billing purposes only. This study aims to discuss the possibilities and the benefits of using this valuable data. There are several established load analysis tools, such as load curve, typical load curve, load duration curve, load factor, superposition factor, etc., which utilities could apply and develop to provide feedback to small electricity users. Among other benefits, the hourly load data analysis can provide the detailed characteristics of load demand, define the consumption patterns and can help to identify which households contribute most to the utility peaks.
